Point Picquet - PoPi09 Point PicquetWestern Australia's Southwest coastline takes plenty of beatings from the weather through the winter months. Point Picquet is near Meelup Beach and was named after an explorer Sub Lieutenant Picquet. The ocean here is a stunning and clear turquoise blue and is enough to entice most people for a swim. This location is also a lookout point for migrating whales that pass by in close range to the shoreline. There is an array of orange coloured rock here
