Auchentoshan 17 Year Old “Bordeaux Wine Finish” italian winesMatured for 8 years in bourbon casks and 9 years in Saint Julien casks (probably Lagrange). Colour: Gold orange. Nose: Notes of overripe oranges and meaty (ham). Notes of pineapple liqueur, with hints of ganache, praline and nougat and also quite some caramel and roasted nuts. Mouth: Rather creamy, nutty, not unlike hazelnut liqueur like they make in Italy, with also notes of crme brulee, candy sugar, fudge Also notes of cappuccino and strawberry jam.
