9'' Early Victorian Front Door Lock CopperA refurbished and lightly refinished left handed 9'' early Victorian (possibly late Georgian) front door lock. Its got its original night latch, so the bolt is pulled back by the handle and locked open with the slide on the back edge. It had a bit of wear so we've added a secondary screw down one so the lock can't close. No key on this one, the locking mechanism is quite worn with a fair bit of damage, not sure it would have lasted so this lock cannot

These are solid ebony not an ebonised finish and were a very popular style in both the Georgian and Victorian periods

Displayed with ebony beehive door handles & brass bloxwich door handles (not included)

Nice & heavy at 720g

the marble cleaned

We've given it a light polish

In a really light shade of brass
