This wine is actually Chateau Cabrieres, but during the 1980's bottles for the domestic market were labeled Domaine de. The crest on the label is the same. 1985 was an excellent vintage for the region. Tasting Note 2 3 2024 87 Points Medium, tawny color, getting quite brown around the edges. Leather, kind of motor oily, dried fig, wet earth floor. Medium acidity,

The 1962 vintage was a lovely one for the wines of Bordeaux

This red wine appellation of Saumur in the central Loire Valley is known for there Cabinet Franc based wines

but it pulls itself together and finds its balance with half an hour in a small decanter

I've had a soft spot for this Sauternes as it was the first sweet wine from Bordeaux that I tasted and was readily available
