Bronze bowl II Hamish MacaulayBronze bowl 190mm H x 180mm Diameter John Tullett is a former art teacher with a bachelor of Fine Arts. His bronze casting technique is a careful, multi step process. Each piece begins as a wax model coated in layers of ceramic shell. The wax is melted out, and the mould is fire cured. Bronze is heated to 1150C in a gas fired furnace and poured into the mould. As it cools, the shell breaks away. The casting is then fettled with files and sandpaper,
